Looks like an Italian delicatessen but this is a first class restaurant. Not a large place so probably best to book in advance. The food is excellent as is the service. Don't expect fast food service as all the meals are freshly cooked. A bit of a problem for parking as the restaurant is inside the city walls. Overall experience was first class

Booked this based completely on the Google rating. What can I say. Superb staff (Fabio was our waiter) and the food..... I don't say this lightly, was the finest dish I've eaten in my life, bar none. All of the seafood cooked to perfection. Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic venue for celebrating a special occasion. We went here for my birthday, the staff are welcoming and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Drinks and food presented are amazing. This really is a fine dining restaurant. If you do decide to go, splash out and have the wine experience with the meal. The wines were matched brilliantly and we never felt rushed while dining there. I'll definitely will be back again.

We had the new three course Saturday lunch menu, with the wine package. I wondered if the lunch menu would be on a par with the 7 course evening menu, and was not disappointed Adam Jackson and the Park staff continue to deliver the best dining experience in York. The service was impeccable, the food was simply fantastic and the wine choices were inspired. If you have an opportunity to come here I highly recommend it.

Well where can I start excellent service excellent food one of the best food I've ever had in a very long time I have tried every curry house in York Jinnah, saffron, Akbar's, Bengal Brasserie and jaipur spice they don't come nowhere near the parvin 👌the portions OMG are perfect filled me right up and I even had extra to take home for work tomorrow very reasonable price my first time going good company staff are very friendly and nice especially a short guy called shumon who's the manager there he is unbelievable even though I didn't know him I felt like I knew him he even gave me a bottle of champagne on the house and a huge discount and plenty of sweets for kids but the main thing is I had a disabled child with me normally if I went out with my family I would ring a head beforehand to let them know I have a disabled child but I didn't in this case I just walked in as a normal customer with my child and they sorted everything out there and then very fast and friendly and helpful my kids enjoyed it I would definitely recommend the parvin to anyone so please if you're starving try the parvin it's the best I Give It a 10 out of 10 👍👍👍👍 thank you for your company guys hope to see you soon

I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for making my husband 60th birthday a night to remember excellent service nothing was too much trouble considering their was16 of as could not have gone smoother and to top it all was present with a bottle of prosecco as we left will be returning thank you very much the buck family x

The outside looks a little like a convenience store but inside decor makes up for this. There is a shared parking area in front of the building. Check signage for pay and display. The inside is stylish and spacious, and can cater for any size party. The staff are friendly. Plenty to chose from on the menu and the prices are much the same as other Indian restaurants. Marked a 3 star only because at the end of the meal we were given a desert menu and then forgotten about, which we put down to the fact they had a party of 20 arrive at that time. Wouldn't have ordered a desert anyway so didn't spoil the evening. Still shouldn't have happened but understand why it did. Enjoyed the meals we did have.

Simply it was ok. It want the best curry I ever had. Portions are generous. Madras can make you sweat so if you're not a fan of spicy food maybe consider something else. Prices are average.

It was a great curry, I ate way too much and had the burning ring of fire the next morning. Always a good sign of a decent curry. The staff were nice and the food was cooked fresh. I would love to eat there again (but hopefully show a bit of restraint on how much I cram down my gullet)

Excellent service and friendly greeting. Food has some subtle differences of flavour. Not the best Bhajis I have tasted but overall very good. Woukd have been 5 stars but no heated trays to keep food hot!

Delicous food served by friendly and attentive staff. We were very happy with our meals and thoroughly recommend it.

Nice decor and layout. Helpful waiting staff. We had set menu. Our main course of salmon tagliatelle would have benefited by having more salmon. My chocolate brownie as dessert was heavenly. Although quite early in the day they had run out of torts for dessert.

Great service and great menu. Went during the day and took advantage of the 'kids eat free' offer, which was loved by both parents and kids alike! Would definitely go again.

Ask Italian always has a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The restaurant in York is something else entirely. The dining hall has an incredibly tall ceiling, polished columns, and is so open plan as to feel like you are eating in a palace. It is beautiful. Also, it was here that we first discovered the cocktail range. We came back two nights in a row, the first time for dinner, the second time as the place we had eaten had let us down with desserts. So we came back to Ask for a pudding and an Italian Twinkle. It felt very decadent, and made our weekend away just that little more special. Thank you!

Was taken here by a friend. The food was second to none. It was amazing. It was really great. My experience of this establishment was wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as did my friend.

Some greatly inviting offers on set menus. Interesting and varied menu. Staff were genuinely friendly and very welcoming. We enjoyed the food very much alongside the complimentary glasses of prosecco! A visit is recommended.

Classic. I literally cannot believe that I've never been here before given how much I love Italian cuisine. Beautiful food, great setting, lovely interior and very good service / staff. We actually really enjoyed sitting near the kitchen & seeing the chefs work. Imagine how many places you eat where that is the opposite of a pleasure. Will absolutely be returning for many years to come.

Quick drink with the wife. It was unexpectedly quiet, even for a Sunday. Was surprised to hear it closes at 10pm too.

Great bar with fab food and cocktails all staff very polite and friendly with a very good atmosphere.

Not personally a big fan Cocktails dont list ingredients on the menu and music is too loud after a certain time. Staff are nice and drinks themselves good value.

Red devil. Go there. Drink a jug. See what happens. I dare you. Double dare you. Triple dare you. Your night will be fun, erratic, memorable in the same way childhood memories are memorable. Grey distant with details missing but strong emotions. The Devil will enchant your night with sanguine joy then possibly haunt your morning with the stupid stuff You did. Nice gaff. Cosy. 👹

Very small bar, but nice. Almost feel like your on the strip somewhere in spain when seated outside under heated lamps. Good cocktials at average prices

Although our reservation had to be put back half hour, the manager kindly handled everything and we were treated to some fantastic food. We were a table of eleven and our food was delivered as it was cooked, so we had it pretty much fresh from the kitchen. The food was great, the staff courteous and kind and made a great night out for us all. We shall visit again!

We were in York for Valentine's so thought we'd take advantage of following up a recommendation. It didn't disappoint! Food was immaculate. Only negative was that in a relatively small restaurant we seemed to get forgotten about from a service perspective (didn't delay food being brought out but things like drinks, ordering, getting the bill). Would definitely visit again!

Our second visit and a great experience. We had advised that one of our party was garlic intolerant and the menus had been marked up to show which items could be safely chosen. There was plenty of choice and all four different selections were well presented and prepared with care and attention. The staff were attentive and our meal was a pleasure.

incredible atmosphere, fine wine selection, delicious, rustic, wholesome food. impeccable service; sent a french onion soup back to the kitchen because it was too salty for my taste, waitress came back with a new one made in 2 minutes that was perfect. overall great quality, perfect for a dinner date, family gathering, or just about any occasion. reasonably priced and central location too.

Visited Sunday after a hectic weekend. An oasis of calm & beautifully presented lunch of roast beef bap so tender it melted in the mouth with sweet potatoes chips & crisps.Too many cakes so diet denied! Do visit. I will again. Ann

Unbelievable value; huge portions and delicious food, even the coleslaw is a bit special! Staff are very friendly, and the location is ideal. Will be coming back again and again. Very pleased!
